You can submit your bankruptcy application any time. You do not have to wait until you have missed 3 payments. In fact you don't even have to notify your IVA company. However in my view I think you should so they can get started with the termination process.

Just e-mail them and tell them you have stopped you payments because you are going bankrupt and tell them to terminate the agreement. That's all you need to do.
