Discussion and questions about what to expect when your IVA is finished

Hi, I have just finished an IVA an agreement. Do I have to disclose this to a company who are inviting me to become a shareholder director?
Does it bring any legal problems for the company

Hi Johnno

You can become a company director whether or not your IVA has finished. There are no negative legal implications for the company at all. Having said that, if you were specifically asked the question on an application form or by one of the current directors, I suggest that you come clean and tell them that you have been in an IVA. They wil be able to find out very quickly anyway by checking the insolvency register which is accessible to anyone who uses the internet.

Well done on finishing your IVA Johnno. Must feel great. Would be really good if you could let us know how you get on in the future months. Give those of us still in an IVA a taste of what it is like (and reasure people who are still considering whether to take the plunge.....).
